In an astonishing turn of events, Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film "Jawan" has not only shattered records but has etched its name in the annals of Indian cinema history. The film, which was released 28 days ago, has reached unparalleled heights, securing its place as the biggest Hindi movie of all time in India, the second-largest worldwide, and the fifth-largest in the history of Indian cinema.
On its 28th day of release, a Wednesday, "Jawan" achieved yet another milestone by registering its lowest single-day collection, adding Rs 2 crore to its already staggering total, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

"Jawan" has now amassed an astounding Rs 615 crore nett in India. Today, it is poised to cross the remarkable Rs 1100 crore gross mark at the global box office. The film started its journey with a record-breaking opening of Rs 75 crore on September 7, setting a new benchmark for Hindi movies. It reached its zenith on the first Sunday when it raked in Rs 80 crore. Subsequently, "Jawan" broke records by becoming the fastest Hindi film to surpass the Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore, Rs 400 crore, and Rs 500 crore milestones. It has the distinction of being the first Bollywood movie to breach the Rs 600 crore mark in India.
Despite achieving these incredible feats, "Jawan" has encountered a slight dip in its performance. On the 28th day of release, the film's primary Hindi version recorded a nationwide occupancy of 12%. While facing minimal competition from this week's releases, "Fukrey 3" and "The Vaccine War," it is expected that "Jawan" may gradually lose its momentum in the upcoming week.
Globally, the film's gross total stands at an impressive Rs 1099.7 crore, placing it ahead of Shah Rukh's "Pathaan" but trailing behind giants like "KGF: Chapter 2," "RRR," "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion," and "Dangal."
However, it appears that "Jawan" may not reach the extraordinary heights set by "KGF: Chapter 2" and "RRR," both of which have crossed the Rs 1200 crore mark globally. With "Baahubali 2" boasting a lifetime collection of Rs 1700 crore and "Dangal" achieving a staggering Rs 2400 crore, these milestones seem to be out of reach for "Jawan."
Nonetheless, it's worth noting that the combined earnings of "Jawan" and "Pathaan" have contributed over Rs 2100 crore to the global box office this year. Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as the only Bollywood star to deliver two Rs 1000 crore-plus grossers in a single year, effectively revitalizing the Bollywood industry after two lackluster years.
"Jawan" continues to captivate audiences with its remarkable performance, and while it may not surpass certain historic benchmarks, its impact on the Indian film industry and Shah Rukh Khan's legacy is undeniable.
